1. What Discover is

Discover is a Scripture investigation application.

Discover is designed to help readers examine biblical texts, related passages, textual evidence, questions, comparisons, language information where available, and the boundaries of what the available evidence establishes.

Discover does not promise or require a particular theological interpretation, denominational conclusion, doctrinal position, or personal belief.

Discover is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, psychological, or other professional advice.

2. One-time purchase

Discover is sold through supported platform app stores as a one-time purchase.

Discover does not use subscriptions or recurring Discover fees.

The price charged is the price displayed by the applicable app store when you complete your purchase.

Payment processing, refunds, taxes, purchase records, and other store transactions are governed by the applicable platform store.

3. Permanent ownership for existing purchasers

Once you validly purchase Discover, that purchase provides continuing access to Discover under the platform store's ownership and restoration mechanisms.

You will not be charged a later price difference because the storefront price changes.

There is no paid Discover upgrade, paid feature unlock, paid content pack, or subscription required to retain features included for existing owners.

Future Discover enhancements are included for existing owners.

4. Launch price and ultimate price

Discover may launch at a published introductory one-time purchase price and later move once to a separately published ultimate one-time purchase price when the planned content corpus reaches its declared completion milestone.

Both prices are intended to be disclosed publicly from launch.

A purchaser who buys Discover at the launch price keeps ownership and is not later charged the difference between the launch price and the ultimate price.

5. Restoring a purchase

Purchase ownership is maintained by the applicable platform store, not by a Discover user account.

If Discover is deleted, reinstalled, or installed on another eligible device, you may need to use the app's Restore Purchase function or otherwise allow the applicable store to verify your existing purchase.

Restoration is subject to the platform store's account, device, and purchase rules.

Discover does not require you to create a separate Discover account to restore ownership.

6. Local reader content

Reader Questions, Notes, saved Investigations, preferences, and similar reader-created information are stored locally unless Discover expressly states otherwise.

You retain responsibility for your own reader-created content.

Discover does not claim ownership of your personal Notes or Reader Questions.

Because Discover does not provide cloud backup or synchronization for this information, locally stored reader content may be lost if the app is deleted, app data is erased, or the device is lost or damaged.

7. Scripture and other content

Discover contains Scripture text, application content, research structures, questions, interfaces, indexes, software, and other materials.

Underlying Scripture texts and other source materials remain subject to their applicable copyright, public-domain status, licenses, attribution requirements, or other rights.

Discover's original software, interface, organization, investigation structures, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

Your purchase grants you a personal license to use Discover. It does not transfer ownership of Discover's software or copyrighted materials to you.

8. Scripture investigation boundaries

Discover seeks to present evidence and distinguish what a source states from what remains uncertain, disputed, ambiguous, or unanswered.

No software system can guarantee that every textual observation, source attribution, translation, historical claim, question, cross-reference, or analytical result will be error-free.

Discover does not guarantee that its presentation will agree with every scholarly, denominational, traditional, or personal interpretation.

Readers remain responsible for evaluating the evidence and reaching their own conclusions.

9. Acceptable use

You may use Discover for personal study, research, teaching preparation, and other lawful purposes consistent with these Terms.

You may not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of Discover, defeat app-store purchase protections, distribute unauthorized copies of the software, extract protected application assets for unauthorized redistribution, or use Discover in violation of applicable law.

10. Availability and changes

Discover may receive corrections, content additions, compatibility changes, performance improvements, and new features over time.

Features may change when necessary to improve accuracy, security, compatibility, reliability, or the investigation experience.

We may discontinue support for operating-system versions or devices that can no longer safely or reasonably support the app.

Nothing in this section permits Discover to convert an existing owner's purchase into a subscription or require an additional Discover payment for future enhancements promised to existing owners.

11. No warranty

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Discover is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not warrant that Discover will always operate without interruption, contain no errors, or meet every user's particular purpose or interpretation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Discover and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of or inability to use Discover.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

13. Third-party platforms

Distribution and purchases may rely on Apple App Store, Google Play, or other supported platform services.

Your use of those services is also governed by their applicable terms.

Discover is not responsible for interruptions or actions of third-party platform services outside Discover's control.

14. Privacy

Discover's handling of information is described in the Discover Privacy Policy.

Discover does not require a Discover account and is designed so that reader-created study content remains local to the device.

15. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when necessary to reflect changes to Discover, applicable law, platform requirements, or the services used to distribute the app.

Material changes will be reflected in the version available in the app and on the Discover website.

Changes to these Terms will not be used to impose a Discover subscription, paid upgrade, or later price-difference charge on an existing owner contrary to the purchase promise stated above.
