Discover Scripture
Privacy Policy
Discover Scripture (“Discover”) is designed to operate privately and locally on your device. We have intentionally designed Discover so that you do not need to create an account and so that your Scripture investigations do not need to be stored on Discover servers.
Information Discover does not collect
Discover does not require or maintain a user account.
Discover does not collect or maintain your name, email address, phone number, address, contacts, location, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or demographic information through the app.
Discover does not collect your Reader Questions, Notes, saved Investigations, Scripture reading activity, or other personal study content. These records are stored locally on your device.
Discover does not use advertising trackers, behavioral advertising, or third-party analytics services.
Discover does not sell personal information.
Local data
Features such as Reader Questions, Notes, saved Investigations, preferences, and related app state are stored locally on your device.
Because this information is local, deleting Discover or erasing the device may remove locally stored information unless the operating system or device backup system preserves it.
Discover does not provide a cloud account or cloud synchronization service for this information.
Purchases and entitlement
Discover is purchased through the platform app store.
Apple or Google processes the purchase, payment method, transaction, refund, and store-account relationship under its own terms and privacy practices.
Discover may use store-issued transaction or entitlement information solely to determine whether the app has been purchased and should be unlocked.
Discover does not operate its own payment system and does not receive or store your payment-card information.
Where store verification requires communication with a Discover entitlement service, only the minimum store-issued information required to verify ownership is processed. It is not used to create a Discover account, profile, advertising identity, or customer-tracking system.
Reinstalling or restoring Discover
Your purchase is associated with the applicable platform store rather than with a Discover account.
After reinstalling Discover or moving to another device, the app may need to contact the platform store to restore or confirm your purchase before local offline entitlement can be established again.
A previously verified installation is designed to remain usable offline according to the platform's valid ownership mechanisms.
Support communications
If you choose to contact Discover support, you may voluntarily provide information such as your email address, device information, app version, or details about a problem.
That information is used only to respond to your request and provide support.
Do not include sensitive personal information in a support request unless it is necessary for us to assist you.
Website
Discover's public website provides product information, legal documents, support information, and links to platform app stores.
The website does not provide a Discover account, cloud Scripture study, cloud Notes, or cloud Reader Questions.
Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical information, such as IP addresses or request logs, as part of operating and securing the website. Such infrastructure processing is governed by the hosting provider's applicable terms and privacy practices.
Discover does not use that information to build reader profiles or for behavioral advertising.
Third-party services
Discover may rely on services provided by Apple, Google, and our website hosting provider for app distribution, purchases, ownership verification, and website delivery.
Those providers operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
Children
Discover does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Discover account or profile because Discover does not provide accounts or remote user-data collection.
Security
Discover minimizes privacy risk by keeping reader-created study data on the user's device and by limiting remote services to those necessary for app distribution, ownership verification, website delivery, and user-initiated support.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
If Discover's privacy practices materially change, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those practices are introduced.
The current Privacy Policy will be available in the app and on the Discover website.
